eMarketing Matador is the online presence of Website Conversion Rate Optimization Specialist, Keith Hagen. I solve problems and creates success for businesses online through a “quirky” mix of Sales, Usability, and Analytics. I mostly work with a well known Internet Security Company, and am responsible for optimizing their website and increasing the website’s conversion rate. What does that mean? Basically I gain insight into what is and isn’t working with a website, and provide continuous recommendations to improve it. Through these continuous improvements, websites and apps function better and sell a lot more.

Conversion Rate Optimization Specialists tend to be “high-end” in the Internet Business world. Most Conversion Rate Optimization Experts work for massive companies like Microsoft, research companies like Forrester or high end agencies. This means most SMBs, “go it alone” with online business strategy and optimizing their sites.

Why I Started This Site

Knowing the “Little Guys” can’t afford someone like me is the motivation for starting this site. Small and Medium Sized Businesses have the Intention to build their business, but most don’t, and those who do try normally have little expertise or hire the wrong people for the expectation they place.  I am determined to provide the right information as to where they need put their Attention with regards to Internet Sales and Sales Leads. If you don’t know what will have the biggest impact, you are blind in building and optimizing websites.

I am also aware that there is a lot of poor advice online , and I determined to deliver quality advice to small business, advice that will have an impact. I will not talk about trendy, “hot” topics like how to leverage Twitter, unless it offers real value, and I can show exactly how it can be done. The topics I cover will have an impact on a small business’ Internet Sales efforts. I also won’t drip out posts with bits and pieces of information. I will cover a topic as well as possible, even if it means making just one post a year.

I want this site to deliver long-term real value through sharing the best internet sales strategies with local, niche and small businesses. That’s half the job being a Website Conversion Expert, keeping businesses focused on what works.

My hope is business stakeholders will come to this site, find the answers they need from reliable Internet sales resources and take that knowledge and thrive with their endeavors.
