Great article. I think most of the process for someone providing SEO services to local businesses is just getting them educated. Cause people simply don’t know how valuable this can be in terms of new customers finding them on the web!

These are some great tips! Good checklist to refer back to occasionally as well.

There are now some markets where Google has opened up local paid ads. It’s $25/month and you can feature your site or a coupon code. Not sure if it’s effective to convert new clients but it does stand out in yellow on the local results.

One of my best sources of traffic come from Merchant Circle. If you create a blog and get some of your customers to post, you can dominate organic listings.
